Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis across multiple orthopedic locations.
As an orthopedic X-ray Technologist, you will perform patient imaging while carefully following established protocols and ensuring patient safety. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, assisting with imaging documentation, operating radiologic equipment, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Additional duties include preparing imaging for physician review, maintaining clean and properly functioning radiologic equipment, and requesting outside imaging for upcoming patient appointments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures following established protocols
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance
Adjust radiologic controls and select appropriate ionizing factors for accurate imaging
Manage and position C-arm imaging equipment during procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Prepare and organize imaging for physician review
Ensure all radiologic equipment is clean, functioning properly, and meets safety standards
Request outside imaging for new patients with upcoming appointments
Assist with monthly reports and imaging documentation as required
Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols at all times
Travel between assigned New Jersey office locations as needed
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
New York Licensed Radiologic Technologist
ARRT Certification (Required)
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Strong knowledge of X-ray equipment, handheld portable unit, imaging procedures, anatomy, and physiology
Experience operating and positioning a handheld portable unit, C-arm preferred
Understanding of radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements
Ability to properly position patients for orthopedic imaging studies
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
Prior Orthopedic Practice Experience Preferred
Availability: Full-Time Position
