The Room Attendant will ensure that the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation are maintained within each of their assigned guest rooms. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper, is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites. They will also report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with OSHA and other required standards.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Check housekeeping cart for supplies, stock as needed.
- Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
- Strip dirty linens/towels and remove amenities from room/suite.
- Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows/tracks. Report rooms as clean and available.
- Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards.
- Replenish linen and guest amenities.
- Clean balconies, if applicable.
- Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service).
- Requires ability to follow verbal directions.
- Requires thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures as well as cleaning supplies.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Requires continuous movement, including bending, reaching, stretching, and twisting
- Must be able to lift and carry 20–30 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs. (e.g., linen bags, carts, supplies)
- Must be able to push and maneuver housekeeping carts across various surfaces, including carpeted hallways
- Ability to bend, kneel, and squat regularly to clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and under furniture
- Must be able to grasp and use cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and spray bottles
- Ability to climb stairs and occasionally use step stools for high-reach areas
- Stamina and physical condition to perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Must be over age 18
- Previous experience a plus
