Qualifications:

Training and support will be provided by staff personnel for a person with a strong desire to learn and a high energy level to grow and elevate themselves in the company. Your strengths will be utilized immediately while other areas of growth will be developed in an efficient time frame.

·         High school diploma or GED

·         Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in construction

·         1 – 3 years construction industry experience preferred

·         Proficient in MS-based software including Word, Excel, Outlook

·         Effective oral and written communication skills

·         Valid driver’s license

·         QuoteSoft bidding software experience a plus

·         Proficient in mathematics

Estimator overview

The estimator role will consist of working with and being trained by a senior estimator in the following areas:

·         Bidding process

·         Setting up job bid folders

·         Loading digital drawings into estimating software

·         Contacting vendors for quotes

·         Analyzing vendor quotes

·         Reading drawings

·         Quantity takeoffs of piping, duct, equipment and plumbing fixtures

·         Pipe and duct takeoff entries into estimating software

·         Research of specifications and job documents

·         Writing clear and concise proposals

·         Communicating effectively with vendors and clients

·         Attending site visits

Salary:

$50,000-$60,000 DOE
