What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Cleaning Specialists to ensure optimal performance and accountability.
- Conduct training, and continuous development of staff to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Assign duties tailored to each site's requirements and ensure team members understand expectations.
- Step in and work alongside staff when needed, including covering absences to maintain service continuity.
- Support hiring, employee transitions, and performance management in collaboration with the Area Manager and HR.
- Perform daily inspections across assigned accounts, ensuring immediate corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure all contractual obligations are consistently met.
- Prepare sites for inspections and ensure all cleaning activities are completed to specification.
- Monitor cleanliness, equipment functionality, and supply levels across locations.
- Ensure janitorial closets are organized and all chemicals are properly labeled.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and clients, providing clear, timely, and detailed updates.
- Escalate concerns, provide written reports, and recommend solutions to improve service performance.
- Respond proactively to issues, feedback, and special requests to exceed client expectations.
- Receive daily assignments from the Area Manager and report status updates.
- Coordinate special projects and service enhancements.
- Assist with delivery of supplies and inventory management across accounts.
- Review timesheets and monitor attendance and exception reporting.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and maintain documentation of attendance.
- Ensure staff use proper PPE and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with Risk Management on incidents and preventative actions.
- Complete reports, documentation, and all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain open communication with management and support overall company goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of janitorial or facilities management supervisory experience.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Basic computer proficiency preferred.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and make sound decisions quickly.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Physically capable of performing hands-on cleaning tasks when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow schedules and work independently.
