We are in the need of a Restaurant Server in Livermore Ca who wants to be part of team for years to come, the server will follow directions of the Lead server and have the ability to function in a fast pace environment, be kind courteous, and respectful.
Energy, personality traits are most important to us. We never expect anyone to know everything and always show respect, we expect this person to be able to carry on the same energy.
If you have some waiter /server experience in a Japanese restaurant, speak a different language, and or have a Food handler card that would stand out over others.

Pay will be 16.5-18 plus tips (we get high volume of tips, they usually get equal or exceed the pay)
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient communication with the kitchen
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards in both casual and fine dining settings
- Manage table cleanliness by bussing and resetting tables efficiently to maximize seating capacity
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling, preparation, and serving processes
- Assist with opening or closing duties, including setting up stations and cleaning work areas
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate guest seating and reservations effectively
- Provide guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience or food industry background preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife environments such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations are essential
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff, hosts/hostesses, and fellow servers
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
