We are seeking an experienced and strategic Bilingual Sr. Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all Human Resources functions across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support business objectives while ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader with strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, performance management, and organizational development. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and a key partner in workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
- Lead and manage all Human Resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, performance management, and organizational development.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and HR initiatives aligned with organizational strategy.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, employee engagement, retention, and talent development.
- Supervise and mentor HR staff, ensuring accountability, professional growth, and high departmental performance.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary positions, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, and workforce planning tools.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Manage employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, corrective action, and employee separations.
- Support managers in coaching employees, addressing workplace concerns, and improving team performance.
- Administer and continuously improve performance management programs, employee evaluations, and development planning.
Compensation, Benefits & Leave Administration
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including employee benefits enrollment, vendor coordination, policy renewals, and compensation analysis.
- Support salary benchmarking and compensation program administration.
- Oversee leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and related employee support programs.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate employee compensation changes and HR data reporting.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Monitor employment law changes and recommend policy or procedural updates.
- Maintain required compliance records, audits, reports, employee files, and regulatory documentation.
Policies, Procedures & HR Administration
- Develop, update, and administer employee handbooks, HR policies, procedures, and internal programs.
- Evaluate HR processes for efficiency and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee unemployment claims, workers’ compensation cases, employment verifications, and employee documentation.
Organizational Development & Training
- Oversee employee onboarding, compliance training, and leadership development.
- Support organizational change initiatives, restructuring efforts, and culture-building activities.
- Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, retention, cost-per-hire, absenteeism, and workers’ compensation trends to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience managing workplace investigations and employee relations matters
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR reporting tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish Required
- Experience in multi-location operations, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or other fast-paced operational environments preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office and operational facilities as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15–20 pounds
- Ability to travel between company locations as required
