Sushi Chef
Duties:
- Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and accommodating special requests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role
- Knowledge of various sushi types and techniques
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
