Job Description

 

Torch Technologies is seeking highly skilled and experienced defense IT specialist to join our dynamic engineering team that supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) help desk.  The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT systems and networks. The candidate will work closely with information assurance, software development, analysis groups, and end-users to fulfill requirements.

Responsibilities:  

• Under general supervision, carry out operational maintenance, support and upgrades for IT infrastructure.
• Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recovery
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to advance customer requirements
• Integrate and test large scale networks

Job Requirements

 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience,
• 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.

• Proven experience in system administration, network management, or defense IT environments

• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for enterprise systems

• Familiarity with large-scale network integration and testing

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (information assurance, software development, and analysis groups)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Infromation Technology
• CompTIA Security , Network , or similar relevant certifications preferred
