Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Nights
Location: Bayville, New Jersey
Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Position Overview
Flyland Recovery Network is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our overnight nursing team in our inpatient detoxification and residential substance use disorder treatment program.
As a Night Shift RN, you will provide direct patient care, medication administration, withdrawal monitoring, patient assessments, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is passionate about behavioral health, possesses strong critical thinking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments upon admission and throughout treatment.
- Monitor patients for withdrawal symptoms using standardized assessment tools (CIWA-Ar, COWS, and other clinically appropriate scales).
- Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Monitor vital signs, assess physical and mental status changes, and promptly report significant findings to the provider.
- Respond appropriately to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
- Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in shift reports, patient care planning, and discharge coordination.
- Provide education regarding medications, withdrawal management, relapse prevention, wellness, and recovery.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, Joint Commission/CARF standards, and company policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing nursing education.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
QualificationsRequired
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the treatment team.
Preferred
- One or more years of nursing experience in:
- Detoxification
- Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment
- Behavioral Health
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Emergency Department
- Medical-Surgical
- Critical Care
- Experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
- Experience using electronic health records.
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria and withdrawal management protocols.
