Wastewater Maintenance Worker
Job Duties and Requirements
Job duties and Requirements include but are not limited to the following.
· Operating equipment safely including but not limited to tractors, mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers and other assocated equipment
· Routine maintenance of all the Authority’s properties, buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· High school graduate or valid high school work permit.
Valid Michigan driver license.
· Ability to drive pickup trucks.
· Excellent driving record.
· Some experience in utility maintenance and/or construction trades.
The employee for this position must also understand and be willing to work after normal hours. The employee should carry a cell phone that receives email and text messages. This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is a requirement.
A pre-employment physical will be needed or varification of a physical within the past year.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly:
· Use hands and fingers, handle, feel or use objects, tools, or controls.

· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include:
· Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
· The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essentials function of this job.
· While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and could be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is usually loud (heavy traffic, construction equipment, sewer cleaning equipment, generators) and occasionally very loud.
· All employees must perform all work in a safe workman like manner and follow all MIOSHA and Torch Lake Area Sewage Authority rules and regulations, whichever provides a higher level of safety to employees.
Compensation
This position is part-time seasonal with a starting hourly wage of $16.00. Compensation adjustment could be offered depending on experience.
