Maintenance Worker

Job Description

Responsible for general maintenance which includes routine, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and extra assigned tasks such as fire and disaster response as directed. This includes working with and coordinating service of ventilation equipment, air conditioners, chillers, refrigeration equipment, air compressors, controls, (electronic, electrical and pneumatic), electric motors, sterilizers, pumps, environmental control systems, and fire detection devices. Brainerd Lakes and Duluth Only: This position is responsible for snow removal on sidewalks, stairways, entryways, driveways, and other paved areas, maintenance of all area lawns and shrubs, policing all surface lots, adjacent lawns and sidewalks, care and policing of all parking ramps and entrances, cleaning all equipment and storage areas, moving furniture, equipment or items and various other special projects. Also, responsible to use appropriate procedures and carries out responsibilities and duties in order to ensure a safe, clean environment and image. Tasks performed and assigned are dependent on weather conditions.

Education Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with repair and maintenance
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Operation of bobcat and/or sweeper equipment
  
  

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency
• Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer
• Proof of current motor vehicle insurance, including minimum State limits and without business exclusion (for all locations excluding Duluth)
