Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics and sports equipment.
Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Inventory Analyst/Commodity Manager accomplishes a dual role in inventory management and other supply chain/planning requirements. Duties will include, working closely with all departments to ensure both procurement and inventory is properly managed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Support and interpret material needs for Morgan Hill as requested.
- Work closely with Sales and the Supply Chain Manager to ensure planning for Morgan Hill is correct and MRP functions properly.
- Review, maintain, and recommend min/max levels for assigned commodities utilizing a data driven methodology.
- Suggest and improve methods to maximize inventory turns, while assisting the operations team to execute the production schedule without material shortage impacts.
- Review past due POs to understand reconfirmed and rescheduled orders on a weekly basis.
- Build strong supplier relationships to ensure on time delivery, expedite past due orders, manage priorities and improve supplier performance.
- Guarantee supplier compliance with contracts.
- Review pricing in AX to ensure correct pricing for any Long-Term Agreements and revised price lists from suppliers.
- Review demand forecast in AX as needed
- Work with cross functional departments (not limited to Production, Receiving, Accounts Payable) to resolve discrepancies and meet business needs
- Direct and perform inventory counts along with preparation and collection of count sheets followed by a detailed analysis of count results
- Twice yearly ABC reclassification preparation and coordination of audits
- Direct and perform inventory recounts and other research for discrepant material, done through reporting and following through with recommendations
- Ensure integrity of counted material i.e. condition and expiration status
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Associate's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with composites manufacturing
- Manufacturing or composites experience required
- Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
- Able to work and communicate with multiple teams
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Experience with ERP/supply demand planning software a plus
- Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner
- Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment)
SALARY: $66,400.00-90,423.00 DOE
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: There are no special requirements of the job other than being to perform normal computer related tasks. Must be able to spend extending periods of time walking around the plant as part of normal job functions. No significant lifting requirements. Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
