Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our veterinary and laboratory staff, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient examinations, performing laboratory tests, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary professionals during patient examinations and treatments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the veterinary team.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the treatment area, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and general health practices.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable.
- Laboratory experience is a plus, with familiarity in handling samples and conducting tests.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
