Field Service Technician – Laboratory Equipment
Location: Nationwide Travel | Training Provided
Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? TOPS Staffing is hiring a Field Service Technician to work with high-quality laboratory equipment across the U.S. You’ll install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialized medical equipment while learning from experts and building your technical skills.
This opportunity offers in house training up to 6 months inhouse before being deployed into the field. Must be open to doing significant travel once deployed up to 50% travel time.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, remanufacture and perform repair of lab equipment both in house and at customer locations
Educate customers on proper use and basic maintenance of equipment
Complete service reports detailing repairs, maintenance, and installation.
Assist with inventory, parts management, and warehouse tasks when not in the field. Including material handling, inventory stocking, shipping & receiving functions.

Who We’re Looking For
2 years in a service technician, maintenance, or similar technical role
Comfortable troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
Able to read blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics
Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
Basic computer skills; ERP experience is a plus
Extra Info
Overnight travel will be required for customer service visits
Occasional after-hours or emergency service calls may be needed
