Food Delivery Driver

All paid driver positions start at $12-15/hour plus tips and per delivery spiff.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate personal or company-provided vehicles, including vans, box trucks, or other delivery vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load, unload, and secure food orders using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
• Navigate route driving efficiently using mobile devices for directions, ensuring timely deliveries across designated areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details, provide exceptional service, and address any questions or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete shift reports, and document any incidents or delays promptly.
• Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injury and ensure proper manual handling procedures are followed.
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with inventory movement or related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and customer service excellence; training for the right person.
• Valid personal vehicle registration and insurance.
• Adherence to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and workplace weight handling standards.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation and communication during deliveries.
• Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
