What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at TOPPAN Packaging Americas?
While reporting to the Quality Control Manager, as the Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations. Safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic are important to the Highland Packaging culture.
The position is an essential element of our manufacturing process, you will be responsible for performing certain quality checks and integrity testing on the finished clamshell product before it is shipped out to the customer. You should be able to understand all forms and paperwork and be able to communicate (write and speak) clearly in English.

Additional Information
Shift: 5:45pm – 6:15am/4 days on and 4 days off
Pay Rate: $16.27/hr. plus .50 shift differential
Location: Plant City, FL

What You’ll Be Doing
- Must be able to conduct various QC tests on the finished product involving weight and measurement.
- Must be able to understand and complete associated paperwork entirely and proficiently (in English). (Must speak, read, and write in English)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to understand and adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety company policies.
- Must be able to stretch arms out to shoulder height and occasionally overhead and twist, bend and/or stoop.
- The position requires/necessitates a flexible working schedule where overtime hours may be involved.
- You have previous manufacturing experience and/or training
- Read and comprehend standard work instructions
- Arrive to work on time with a strong attendance record
- An individual looking to advance with a high school diploma or GED
- Work schedules are subject to change- The operation is 24/7.
