Position Overview
A nationwide provider of comprehensive school-based therapy and educational services is seeking multiple Full-Time Special Education Teachers for in-person, school-based positions in Avondale, Arizona. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction, support students in achieving their IEP goals, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach and support students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and adapt engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans
- Support students in achieving their IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress, grades, and evaluations
- Maintain a positive and effective classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain effective classroom management and organization
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Special Education Teacher (SPED) Certification
- Previous experience in special education or a related educational field
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive rapport with students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $44–$66/hour, commensurate with experience
