Topa Group, Inc. is partnered with a premier Fire Protection company in the greater Boston area we're seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, service, inspect, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm and life safety systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, code awareness, and the ability to work independently in commercial and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA and local codes
- Diagnose and repair system deficiencies, wiring issues, and device failures
- Perform system commissioning and acceptance testing
- Accurately document inspections, deficiencies, and service reports
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and customers
Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on fire alarm installation and/or service experience
- Strong knowledge of NFPA requirements
- Experience with addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and system layouts
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
- Experience in commercial high-rise, healthcare, or institutional facilities
- Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills
- NICET (Fire Alarm Systems) Certification
- MA-D Low Voltage License
