We are looking for an exceptional Sonographer to join our dedicated overnight Ultrasound Team at a world-class academic medical center in beautiful Burlington, Vermont. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, patient-centered imaging professional who is ready to make an impact during critical nighttime hours. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality care using advanced imaging techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves.
- Tailor imaging techniques to account for patient-specific conditions such as tissue type and anatomical challenges.
- Exercise strong diagnostic judgment to obtain additional or alternative images as necessary.
- Independently conduct exams under physician supervision while collaborating with peers when appropriate.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and compassionate patient care.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a certified CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or equivalent two-year allied health program.
- Current ARDMS registration with credentials in either Abdomen (ABD) or OB/GYN.
- Minimum of two (2) years of paid diagnostic scanning experience.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working in a Level I trauma center.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $79,000 – $125,000 based on experience.
- Signing bonus: $10,000 – $15,000 (paid in installments).
