Our client, a leading California-based law firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their General Liability practice group. This position is ideal for attorneys with 3 years of litigation experience who want to grow their career with a top-tier team known for excellence in defense work.
You’ll handle a range of general liability matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, habitability claims, and product liability cases. The role offers flexibility to work remotely with the expectation of occasional in-person court appearances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, and motions
- Develop case strategies in coordination with senior attorneys and clients
- Attend court proceedings, settlement conferences, and trials as needed
- Maintain accurate case records and meet internal and client deadlines
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active and in-good-standing membership with the California State Bar
- Must reside in California and be able to appear in-person for court matters
- At least 3 years of experience in litigation, ideally in general liability defense
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience in:
- Auto liability

- Habitability
- Product liability
- Proven skills in motion practice, discovery, and depositions
- Courtroom advocacy and trial preparation

Salary & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $130,000–$170,000 (DOE)
