What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecom Technician position at Top Stack?
We are looking for a Telephony Technician to help support and maintain enterprise voice and telecommunications systems at a growing organization. This role is 5 days per week onsite and requires travel between sites throughout South Jersey.
What You’ll Do
- Provide onsite Tier 1 support for VoIP, analog, and digital phone systems.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues across telephony infrastructure.
- Install and support telephony hardware and assist with system deployments and migrations.
- Support users with voice platforms, conferencing features, and related applications.
- Document issues and collaborate with senior engineers on advanced troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of telecommunications or telephony support experience.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP systems and enterprise cabling infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting Layer 1/Layer 2 connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Teams, 8x8, Avaya, or similar.
- Strong communication skills and ability to support end-users.
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment.
