Top Shelf Botanicals is a leading Montana cannabis company operating 15 dispensaries statewide. We are seeking a driven, compliance‑focused Dispensary Manager to lead our Kalispell location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced retail environment, understands Montana cannabis regulations, and can build a high‑performing team.
Position Overview
The Dispensary Manager oversees daily store operations, team leadership, compliance, inventory accuracy, and customer experience. This position reports directly to the Director of Retail Operations and plays a critical role in maintaining our reputation for professionalism, consistency, and regulatory excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, schedule, and develop all dispensary staff
- Ensure full compliance with Montana Cannabis Control Division (CCD) rules and all state/ARM regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory using Dutchie POS and follow all METRC‑related procedures
- Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliations, and loss‑prevention standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold brand standards
- Manage opening/closing procedures and ensure a clean, safe, compliant environment
- Execute promotions, product launches, and company initiatives
- Communicate effectively with upper management and support statewide operational goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of retail management experience (cannabis preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of Montana cannabis laws or willingness to learn quickly
- Experience with POS systems; Dutchie experience is a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
- Must be 21 and able to obtain a Montana Worker Permit
