Job Description
As a Senior Field Engineer, you will participate in walk-downs, generate sketches, help develop conceptual designs, evaluate existing systems, and generate and/or review functional requirement documents.
You will ensure processes and deliverables comply with laws, codes, orders, and MSTS policies and procedures.
You will also review engineering documents for constructibility during various design reviews and verify and report on construction installation quantities.
In addition, you will interface with Project Engineering to facilitate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Change Requests (FCRs), and needed design changes.
Your responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and approving material requisitions, redlining drawings for incorporation into as-built drawings, and assisting in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
Other duties may include serving as an internal subject matter expert or Project Field Engineer (PFE) to oversee large projects, contributing to the development of solutions to resolve construction issues, and performing other duties assigned by Management.
