Job Title: Systems Administrator
About the Position:
Amentum is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support our team on Kauai, HI. As a key member of our Range Network Department, you will provide expert-level system administration for all clients and servers connected to the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) classified and unclassified networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, patching, and core services related to Windows desktop OS, Windows server OS, Linux OS, and various third-party applications.
- Implement DISA STIG requirements and work within Configuration-Managed Environments.
- Provide technical expertise at supervisor and management meetings, which may include necessary planning and scheduling of meetings.
- Determine when desktop, server, software, and OS upgrades are required and ensure that all upgrades are completed as scheduled, with appropriate documentation existing prior to implementation.
- Prioritize work center organization, equipment, and processes based on performance requirements and mission needs.
Requirements:
- BS/BA in Business, IT, or relevant field and at least 3 years of System Administration/IT experience,
- Or High school diploma/GED, and at least 5 years of System Administration/IT experience.
- Years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Knowledge of IT systems and advance IT infrastructure concepts.
- Proficiency in operating personal computers, computer software, and standard office equipment.
- Basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting.
Certifications:
- One of the following OS Certifications required prior to start: Linux or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA),
- Current Microsoft System Administrator certificate (example: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Core), Microsoft Certified:
- Advance knowledge and certification in both Windows Server and RHEL considered highly desired,
- VMware certification,
- Knowledge in Cyber Security Methods and Techniques,
- Knowledge of DoD IT systems, to include Windows, RHEL, and comprehensive infrastructure concepts.
- Top Secret security clearance is required with T5 or equivalent (SSBI) investigation level.
- Applicants selected must be a US Citizen to apply for a Secret Security Clearance.
