Summary
This Quality Supervisor will supervise a team of 8 Quality Technicians and ensure product quality, food safety, and compliance throughout the night shift.
Key Activities
- Supervise and provide leadership to 8 Quality Technicians on the night shift.
- Own and oversee quality operations for the 3rd shift.
- Ensure products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production processes and identify quality issues or deviations.
- Work closely with Production Management to address quality concerns and improve processes.
- Partner with Food Safety Management to maintain food safety standards and compliance.
- Coordinate with Sanitation Management to ensure proper sanitation practices and corrective actions.
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate completion of quality inspections, records, and documentation.
- Train, coach, and develop Quality Technicians.
- Escalate significant quality or food safety concerns to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, food safety, and production.
Preferred Skills
- Fresh meat, poultry, beef, pork, or other protein processing.
- USDA-regulated food manufacturing environments.
- HACCP, GMP, SSOP, or related food safety programs.
Educations & Experience
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or foodservice.
- Fresh meat industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience supervising or leading a quality team.
