Summary
The Lead QA Technician will be responsible for assisting Quality Management in coaching and monitoring department technicians, performing critical inspections using precision measurement equipment, and ensuring proper protocols and processes are being utilized throughout the organization.
Key Activities
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, inspection methods, and proper documentation.
- Fluent ability to read and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, pin/thread gauges, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically.
- Experience with CMM programming.
- Experience creating and documenting inspection procedures.
- Experience completing FAI inspections with critical components, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation.
- Ability to collect and communicate inspection data to management and customers if necessary.
- Familiarity with the ISO 90001 Standard or other quality standards.
- Experience with basic data entry using Excel.
Preferred Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate amongst all departments.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize properly.
Educations & Experience
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance, control, or inspection role required; Quality control/inspection experience in plastic injection or machined components preferred.
