Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all maintenance activities within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports production efficiency through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Key Activities
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all production machinery, utilities, and facility systems.
- Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure high performance and safety compliance.
- Schedule maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Manage maintenance of plastic processing equipment including injection molding machines, extrusion lines, blow molding machines, chillers, compressors, dryers, and conveyors.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and costs through CMMS.
- Control spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement to ensure availability while controlling costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
- Monitor KPIs including downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment performance metrics.
Preferred Skills
- Prefer Plastic Injection molding experience.
Educations & Experience
- This person would lead a team with an Assistant Maintenance Manager and 4 other maintenance team members.
- Minimum of 5 years leadership/management of a MAINTENANCE TEAM.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience.
- MUST proficient in Electrical repair and troubleshooting-minimum of 5 years.
