We are seeking an Access Control Technician for a full time position in Fargo, ND.
As an Access Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in the startup, installation, closeout, and service of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test equipment for integrated security, audio visual, and networking systems according to specifications and relevant building/electrical codes.
- Repair, restore, and test systems per specifications and codes.
- Maintain daily communication with Project Managers regarding job status and requirements.
- Ensure all work meets company standards and quality installation techniques are applied.
- Assist Project Managers in project closeout and turnover to clients.
- Collaborate with Field Engineers to ensure system compliance during startup.
- Train apprentices on company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
General Accountabilities:
- Represent the company professionally in conduct and appearance to maximize client satisfaction.
- Available to work outside normal business hours as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Maintain and protect assigned company assets.
- Maintain accurate written records and submit them on time.
- Hold professional licensing as required by state and local jurisdictions.
- Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics demonstrated by at least 1 year of experience.
- Valid US driver's license with an acceptable record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (2-year) in a technical capacity.
- 3 years of experience in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite, demonstrated by at least 1 year of experience.
- Aptitude for learning system programming demonstrated by at least 1 year of experience.

- Ability to solve practical problems and work under minimal supervision.
- Effective workload organization and project completion skills.
- Strong communication skills for both written and verbal interactions.
