What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Millennium Control Systems Llc?
Position Overview:
This position requires an experienced, energetic, and detail-focused individual that wants to be a part of a growing team and company. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical panel fabrication and wiring and have the drive, organizational, and leadership skills required to lead a dedicated team of manufacturing professionals.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Perform quality testing on manufactured electrical control panels.
- Complete quality checklists and other required documentation
- Keep the test area clean and calibrated.
- Lay out and wire control panels when available.
- Maintain testing consistency and quality.
- Keep all test documentation up to date and organized in proper server locations.
- Work alongside panel building technicians to ensure they correct their own mistakes.
- Ensure all QC documentation is maintained and prepared for shipping (QA docs)
- Work with Quality Management to make sure all documentation needs are handled.
- Work with the quality team recommending and implementing improvements that will help streamline testing procedures in the future.
- Maintain good communication with management when product is in test.
- Maintain good communication with Project management team when projects are complete.
- Develop and document quality practices and standards.
- Provide training to Manufacturing Technicians in one on one and group environments.
Requirements:
- Quality Assurance – Exhibit clear attention to detail. Complete all paperwork appropriately. Follow all quality standard procedures. Follow through on errors found to ensure they are re-tested before shipment. Keep issue-tracking spreadsheet updated. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, meeting customer delivery expectations.
- Organizational Planning – Always aware of quality needs and effectively use resources to meet demands of quality department. Communicate to management when resources are needed.
- Communication – Display effective communication with others in the company. Maintain constant engagement with production. Inform management when schedule or hours are in jeopardy. Organize and implement shop-mentoring program for new and or inexperienced fabricators.
- Continuous Improvement – Promote creativity and question the status quo. Able to accept and manage change. Develop standards and procedures for quality and production. Ensure quality meets company standards on all jobs.

What We Need You To Have:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building custom control panels
- Must be able to read electrical schematics in both JIC and IEC formats.
- Must have a good fundamental understanding of electrical principles.
- Must be comfortable working with and powering on control panels.
- The use of testing equipment like multi meters and dielectric testers is a plus.
- Must be well organized.
- Must be comfortable with the use of basic MS Office programs.

- Travel Requirements – 5 - 10% travel
