What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Crew Leader position at Top of the Peak Landscaping?
Top of the Peak Landscaping is a local company that has served our community for over 20 years. We specialize in irrigation, concrete work, ground maintenance, landscaping and snow removal. We are still growing and seeking an EXPERIENCED, reliable, hard-working Crew Leader with 2 years MINIMUM experience in the field.
* We are located off Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs, just 1 mile West of Falcon.
Starting pay rate is dependent on experience!
Must have a good MVR (driving record) to be eligible for this position.
Landscape responsibilities include but are NOT limited to: Directly supervising 3 employees in the Landscape Department. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Including, but not limited to, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; suggesting changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the work crew; maintaining time and production records; enforcing safety regulation. Customer communicating. Picking up and planning supply deliveries to job sites.
Applicants must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs., and work in bending and standing positions as needed. The ideal applicant will be able to manage multiple properties. Job duties include but are not limited to operating all landscape equipment, be able to dig holes, push a wheelbarrow with rock/dirt in it, operate a skid, as well as any other equipment necessary to perform daily tasks. Must have the basic knowledge regarding planting, rock and sod installation. Must have knowledge of sprinklers including controller operation, sprinkler heads, valves and pipes, work with electrical wiring pertaining to the sprinkler system, know how to perform system checks and make irrigation repairs. Troubleshooting. Additional Abilities may include Previous Equipment Operation experience, Knowledge of Mechanic's and the ability to pull a trailer. We MUST be able to verify your references, skills and previous pay rate from past employers.
