Location: Adkins, TX / Monterrey, NL (binational coordination)
Job Type: Full-time - W-2
Salary: $75,000 USD annually
Overview
The Engineering & Design Coordinator is responsible for leading and overseeing engineering, design, and technical documentation activities for Top Metal Solutions in both Mexico and the United States. This role directs the design and work-order release teams, ensuring technical accuracy, quality standards compliance, and operational efficiency across all metal manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise engineering, design, and work-order release teams across both locations.
- Review and approve drawings, DXF files, 3D models, and technical specifications according to customer requirements and internal standards.
- Ensure proper application of GD&T and compliance with AWS D1.1/D1.3 and OSHA regulations.
- Develop quotes, cost analyses, and technical proposals with a focus on profitability and budget optimization.
- Manage engineering KPIs including productivity, efficiency, and release times.
- Lead technical meetings, design reviews, and follow-ups with internal and external clients.
- Promote staff development through evaluations, training, and active leadership.
- Ensure proper use of tools, software, documentation, and department resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Design Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in design, manufacturing, or product engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GD&T, AWS, and OSHA.
- Proven leadership skills, budget management experience, and strong results orientation.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
