Pay: $12.00-$13.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM (Full-Time)
Do you enjoy working with children but also like having variety in your day? We're looking for a dependable, energetic Floating Teacher to join our team!
As a Floating Teacher, you'll assist in multiple classrooms throughout the day, helping maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children ranging from infants through school age. Every day is a little different, making this a great position for someone who enjoys staying busy and supporting a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities.
- Supervise children while maintaining a safe environment.
- Help with meals, naps, diapering, potty training, and classroom transitions.
- Engage children through play, learning activities, music, art, and outdoor play.
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Participation in facility and classroom activities: sensory days
- Follow all Texas Child Care Licensing and center policies.
- Meet or Exceed Texas Rising Star requirements.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Provide coverage for classrooms as needed throughout the day.
- Attend all trainings and staff meeting events
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance are required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate with children throughout the day.
- Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
- Top Kids will provide CPR Training.
