Custodian – The Wilma, KettleHouse Amphitheater, and Top Hat Lounge

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of The Wilma, KettleHouse Amphitheater, and Top Hat Lounge. The custodian plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring a positive experience for guests, artists, and staff before and after concerts and events. This position involves working at all three venues with a flexible, event-driven schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning duties at all three venues, including: o Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning floors

• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, green rooms, backstage areas, and public spaces
• Restocking paper goods, soap, and sanitizers
• Cleaning windows, mirrors, and other surfaces
• Emptying and properly disposing of trash and recyclables
• Moving furniture

• Support event preparation by ensuring the venue is clean and stocked before doors open

• Perform quick-turn event setup (moving chairs, tables, etc.) to meet the various needs of each client

• Conduct post-event cleanup to restore the venue to operational standards

• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Facilities Manager

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial supply areas

Requirements:

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between venues (Wilma, KettleHouse Amphitheater, Top Hat Lounge)

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and varying shift lengths

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism

Work Environment:

• Indoor (Wilma, Top Hat) and outdoor (KettleHouse Amphitheater) venues

• Exposure to loud music, crowded spaces, and varying weather conditions

• Fast-paced and dynamic event settings

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $16/hr with six month probationary period.
