For more than 25 years, Top Gun Driving Academy has helped students launch successful careers in the trucking industry. We are looking for an energetic, creative, and self-motivated Marketing & Community Outreach Manager to help us grow our brand, strengthen community relationships, and increase student enrollment.

This is not a desk-only marketing position. You'll spend time creating marketing campaigns, managing social media, attending community events, building relationships with businesses and organizations, and representing Top Gun throughout Southern Idaho.

ResponsibilitiesCommunity Outreach

• Build relationships with employers, high schools, colleges, workforce agencies, veterans' organizations, and community partners. etc.
• Visit businesses and organizations throughout Southern Idaho.
• Schedule and conduct presentations about Top Gun Driving Academy.
• Attend career fairs, community events, parades, and networking opportunities.
• Develop new referral partnerships.
• Maintain and grow community contact databases.

Marketing

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase student enrollment.
• Manage Facebook and Instagram accounts.
• Create engaging social media content, including photos, videos, reels, and stories.
• Plan and promote upcoming events and school announcements.
• Coordinate digital and print advertising campaigns.
• Monitor marketing performance and recommend improvements.
• Maintain marketing calendars and campaign schedules.

Content Creation

• Take photos and videos during student training and school events.
• Create promotional graphics, flyers, brochures, and advertisements.
• Write social media posts, newsletters, and promotional content.
• Work with outside vendors when needed for printing or advertising.

Event Planning

• Organize open houses and community events.
• Coordinate booth displays and promotional materials.
• Represent Top Gun at local events and career fairs.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Track marketing efforts and referral sources.
• Maintain accurate records of marketing contacts and partnerships.
• Prepare monthly marketing reports.
• Work closely with management to develop new marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

• Is highly self-motivated and works well independently.
• Has outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• Is comfortable speaking in front of groups.
• Enjoys networking and meeting new people.
• Has experience with Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
• Can create engaging content using Canva or similar design software.
• Has excellent writing and proofreading skills.
• Is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects.
• Thinks creatively and brings new ideas to the table.
• Has reliable transportation for local travel.
• Previous marketing, communications, sales, or public relations experience is preferred.
• Photography, videography, or graphic design experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
