If so, then an instructor position with Top Driver may be the perfect place for you. We are hiring additional Behind the Wheel and Classroom Instructors to help us support our high student demand.
* The Driver Education Instructor position is very flexible - we work around your availability on a seasonal basis. Both Part-Time (8 hours/week) and Full-Time (30 hours/week) positions are available in several of our locations including our convenient downtown McHenry classroom location. Full-Time instructors are eligible for our full benefit package including PTO, paid holidays, health and dental insurance and a 401K matching plan.
* A typical Instructor schedule includes a combination of after school, evening and weekend hours during the school year. The ability to work Sundays is a definite plus (it is our busiest day!). Daytime hours may be available during the summer and holiday breaks.
* Top Driver's own proprietary curriculum is designed to truly engage the student. We provide the curriculum and educational tools but look to our instructors to make the sessions enjoyable and educational.
* We take pride in our advanced instructor training program and our instructors will not be working on their own with students until they are fully prepared and ready to do so.
* Candidates with an ISBE substitute certificate (or those willing to obtain one) will have an abbreviated training period.
* Candidates must have a safe driving record and pass a background check and drug screen.
* Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
