Field Service Technician - Surgical Instrumentation

Global manufacturer of advanced surgical instruments and technologies for neuro, spine, and general surgery used in the OR.
Responsibilities:
- Field Service Technicians provide essential services such as cleaning, refurbishing sharpening and repairing precision surgical instruments.
- Work closely with customers at hospitals throughout assigned territory to repair, clean, & maintain surgical instruments with the guidance of senior Technicians in the region.
- Cultivates a positive relationship with customer in order to meet or exceed expectations.
- Partner with the sales team to identify opportunities and grow business in assigned territory.
- Complete accurate and timely repairs of precision surgical instruments.
- Manage all on-site repairs, maintenance and testing of assigned instruments and equipment.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions.
- Comprehends customer requirements and makes appropriate recommendations
- Produces timely daily work orders, and update customer reports as needed.
- Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual.
- Must embody the Company's Vision, Mission and Values.
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of high school diploma, required.
- Technical degree or certification is desirable.
- 3 years experience with assembly, machining, or handling of delicate metal instruments.
- Must have a valid drivers license, with the ability to travel with overnights as needed.
- Strong communication (written/verbal) & problem solving skills.
- Occasional overtime and flexibility to changes in schedule are required.
- Computer knowledge is required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Strong mathematical & problem solving abilities.
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to present proof of vaccinations and immunizations required by healthcare facilities before being granted entry into the Healthcare Customers' clinical settings.
Compensation:
Hourly pay, plus overtime. Full-Time employee position with medical benefits, 401k matching, PTO, internal promotions, cell phone & computer provided, and travel reimbursements.
