The Director of Finance will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Company, overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures the company meets both internal financial goals and external regulatory requirements (FAR, DFARS, DCAA) in support of federal contracts. The position is a key advisor to executive leadership and program teams on all financial and operational decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for the Company and/or business units, managing day-to-day financial operations and acting as a strategic partner to the President, VP of Finance and Senior Leadership Team.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Provide information for annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range financial plans aligned with program execution and indirect rate structures.
- Government Compliance: Ensure full compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA regulations; lead preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS), Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP), and audit support.
- Contract Financial Management: Oversee financial tracking of government contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M), including revenue recognition, cost control, funding analysis, and contract modifications.
- Indirect Rates & Cost Structure: Develop and monitor indirect cost pools, provisional billing rates, and wrap rates; ensure proper allocation methodologies and recovery tracking.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, program P&Ls, and cash flow forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Business Operations Support: Partner with Contracts, Program Management, HR, and BD to ensure operational decisions are financially sound and support strategic goals.
- Audit & Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls; lead financial audit readiness including DCAA audits, banking audits, and external CPA reviews.
- Team Management: Supervise accounting and finance personnel; foster continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and staff development.
- ERP Oversight: Manage financial systems and reporting tools for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be able to work cohesively with internal and external customers.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data validation, and complex formula creation for multi-program cost tracking and analysis.
- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends, cost drivers, and contract profitability across multiple CLINs and funding types.
- Must be able to work independently or part of a team.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, MBA, or CGFM preferred.
- 10 years of finance experience with 5 years in a leadership role within a government contracting environment.
- Expertise in federal contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M), indirect rate development, cost accounting standards, and DCAA compliance.
- Proficiency with Ramco, Deltek, Costpoint, Unanet, or similar ERP systems and reporting platforms.
- Experience building and maintaining multi-tab financial models to support forecasting, pricing proposals, and indirect rate calculations.
- Familiarity with integrating data from ERP and BI systems into Excel dashboards and PowerPoint reports for streamlined reporting.
