The Dental Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in helping patients understand and move forward with recommended dental care. This position is responsible for presenting treatment plans, discussing financial options, and ensuring a smooth, supportive patient experience from diagnosis to scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Treatment Presentation
- Clearly explain recommended treatment plans in a simple, patient-friendly manner
- Review clinical findings and reinforce the doctor’s recommendations
- Answer patient questions with confidence and clarity
- Help patients understand the value and importance of treatment
Financial Coordination
- Present fees and review all financial options (cash, in-house plans, third-party financing solutions)
- Help patients choose the most manageable and cost-effective option
- Verify insurance benefits and provide accurate estimates (if applicable)
- Discuss payment expectations and office policies
Case Acceptance
- Guide patients toward making informed decisions about their care
- Address concerns or hesitations with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach
- Follow up on unscheduled treatment plans
Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule treatment appointments efficiently based on clinical priorities
- Coordinate with clinical team to ensure proper time allocation
- Manage pending treatment reports and reactivation efforts
Patient Experience
- Provide a warm, supportive, and professional experience
- Build trust and long-term relationships with patients
- Ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their decisions
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Track case acceptance and production goals
- Assist with front office responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Previous dental office experience required (treatment coordination preferred)
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
- Knowledge of insurance verification and breakdowns
- Experience presenting financial options and discussing fees
- Knowledge of HMO/PPO/DentiCal Payers
- Proficiency in dental software systems (Open Dental)
