Job Coach
Internal Title: Employment Development Specialist
$27.00 per hour | Full-Time | San Francisco | Community-Based Position
Help people with disabilities build confidence, independence, and long-term success at work.
Toolworks is seeking a compassionate, dependable Job Coach to provide individualized workplace training and support to adults with disabilities. You will work directly with employees at businesses throughout San Francisco, helping them learn job duties, communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, solve workplace challenges, and become as independent as possible.

What You Will Do
As a Job Coach, you will:
Provide individualized, on-the-job training and coaching to interns, trainees, and employees with disabilities.
Identify workplace barriers and develop practical strategies that promote independence and successful job retention.
Build positive working relationships with supervisors, managers, and business owners.
Follow up with employers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
Help identify employment opportunities for other Toolworks participants when appropriate.
Travel independently between community and business locations throughout San Francisco.
Worksites may include offices, retail stores, food-service businesses, industrial settings, and other community employers.

Qualifications
Required
At least two years of experience supporting adults with disabilities, preferably in community-based settings.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization, time-management, and documentation skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and other basic electronic documentation systems.
Ability to travel between work locations throughout San Francisco.
Willingness to work a schedule that responds to participant and employer needs.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in special education, rehabilitation counseling, social services, psychology, education, or a related field.
Experience providing job coaching, supported employment, vocational services, training, or instruction.
American Sign Language, Spanish, or Cantonese communication skills.
Role-specific training and ongoing support are provided.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Benefits are based on scheduled hours and applicable plan requirements and currently include:
