What you will own
- Team coordination: assign work, balance machine loads, and ensure on-time output.
- Hands-on machining: set up and run CNC lathes and mills for high-quality components.
- Production control: monitor cycle times, adjust offsets and processes to sustain peak efficiency.
- Cross-functional problem solving: partner with engineering to refine methods and resolve issues.
- Talent development: train and mentor machinists on techniques, safety, and best practices.
- Quality assurance: perform in-process inspections to confirm dimensional and GD&T compliance.
- 5S and safety: maintain an orderly, compliant, and safe work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or certification preferred.
- 10 years as a CNC machinist with strong shop-floor expertise.
- 3 years of offline programming; Mastercam experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in process planning and tooling selection.
- Fluency in reading technical prints and interpreting GD&T callouts.
- Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.
- Exceptional troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of machining safety regulations and practices.
