Role Overview
The Client is seeking an experienced Consumer Privacy Project Manager to lead and execute consumer privacy–related initiatives across enterprise technology and data platforms. This role will manage tactical delivery of privacy programs, ensuring compliance with consumer privacy regulations (including CCPA) while meeting regulatory deadlines, quality expectations, and business objectives.
The Candidate will function as the central execution lead, coordinating across Legal, Data Privacy teams, Business stakeholders, Product Owners, IT technical delivery teams, and external vendors. Strong project management discipline, regulatory program experience, and hands‑on execution are required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
- Plan, manage, and execute consumer privacy–driven projects from initiation through go‑live.
- Drive all phases of the project lifecycle, including scope definition, POC/POT efforts, solution design, build, testing, remediation, and deployment.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with approved legal interpretations and data governance standards.
Consumer Privacy & Regulatory Focus
- Lead initiatives supporting CCPA Consumer Privacy Request intake, processing, remediation, and fulfillment.
- Partner closely with Legal and Data Privacy business partners to ensure compliance with consumer privacy regulations and meeting statutory deadlines.
- Track regulatory requirements and ensure adherence throughout execution.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, Legal, Product Owners, and multiple IT technical teams.
- Facilitate daily standups, weekly status meetings, working sessions, and executive reviews.
- Provide clear and consistent updates on project status, risks, dependencies, and impacts.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Proactively identify deviations from the agreed project plan (schedule, scope, cost, or resourcing).
- Document, escalate, and drive issues and risks to resolution.
- Maintain and report on risk logs, action items, and mitigation plans.
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage project budgets for internal labor and outsourced/vendor services.
- Support forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting in partnership with Finance and leadership teams.
- Ensure alignment with approved funding and staffing plans.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, audit‑ready project documentation including project plans, schedules, status reports, decision logs, and change records.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, audit, and data governance standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in enterprise project or program management.
- Demonstrated experience delivering consumer privacy, data privacy, or regulatory initiatives.
- Strong understanding of CCPA Consumer Privacy Requests and Fulfillment workflows.
- Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams across Legal, IT, data, and business domains.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and vendor resources.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strongly Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Hands‑on experience with consumer privacy platforms, data discovery, or privacy workflow tools.
- Background in large, regulated enterprise environments (automotive, healthcare, financial services, etc.).
- Experience working within Global Services, Data Platform, or enterprise IT organizations.
