Job summary:
Responsible for baking, finishing and decorating ingredients according to recipes to produce breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, or other baked goods.
Summary of essential job functions:
- Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
- Apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods, using spatulas or brushes.
- Decorating cakes and bakery items according to recipes and special customer requests.
- Measure and weigh ingredients to prepare batters, dough, fillings, and icings, using scales and graduated containers, adjusting quantity of ingredients to match the amount of items to be baked.
- Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
- Roll, knead, cut, and shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and other products.
- Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets, and bake in production ovens or on grills.
- Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking.
- Observe color of products being baked, and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, and cooking times accordingly.
- Order products and check quality of materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
- Maintain proper inventory of finished piece goods.
- Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance and cleaning.
- Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned

- Ability to follow recipe and adjust
- Pastry and baking experience
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and use organizational skills
Salary : $18 - $20
