Restaurant Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods, ensuring guests are informed of wait times.
• Provide menus and offer assistance with any inquiries regarding food and beverage options.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.

Skills

• Previous host/host experience is preferred, along with a background in food service or restaurant environments.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; experience with Toast POS is a plus.
• Background in hospitality or hotel services can enhance guest relations capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
