Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based at Tonkin of the Gorge in The Dalles, OR. The Automotive Technician will perform routine maintenance services, including inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations. The role includes diagnosing issues, performing automotive repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The technician will work with suspension and related systems, follow repair orders, and accurately document work performed. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and safe work area, using diagnostic equipment and tools properly, and collaborating with service advisors and team members to ensure timely, high-quality service for customers.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to perform inspections and routine service confidently.
- Hands-on experience with Oil Changes and basic fluid and filter services.
- Proficiency in Automotive Repair, including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience working with Suspension systems, including diagnosis, repair, and replacement of related components.
- Automotive technician training, certification, or relevant coursework (e.g., ASE certifications or equivalent) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical manuals, and diagnostic data.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and high-quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused service environment.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles.
