What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician position at J & S Automotive LLC?
At J&S Automotive, we are committed to performing repairs the right way. In many cases, that starts with properly diagnosing the problem before any repairs begin. We take pride in accurate diagnostics and believe in fixing the root cause rather than guessing or replacing unnecessary parts.
Before any repairs are performed, we provide an estimate and can supply photos to help explain the issue. We also save old parts whenever possible so customers can clearly see what failed and why repairs were needed. Some even make the office wall of mechanical problems we've found over the years.
Many customers tell us they are unfamiliar with automotive repair, so we take pride in explaining problems and repair options in a clear, understandable way. Our goal is to help customers make informed decisions.
16 years in business with many skilled technicians on staff, one of our main values is fixing vehicles correctly the first time. While finding a mechanic may be easy, finding one you can truly trust is not. At J&S Automotive, we focus on building long-term relationships through honesty, transparency, and exceptional customer care.
We are primarily looking for a highly skilled diagnostic technician — someone who can think outside the box, and confidently diagnose complex electrical, drivability, and mechanical issues. This is a true TOP TECH position, and we are looking for someone who can handle just about anything that comes through the door.
That said, we are also open to the right learning technician or B-level mechanic. If you are efficient with repairs and part replacement, have a strong work ethic, and are motivated to continue learning diagnostics, we are willing to help develop the right person into a stronger technician.
