What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at Tone House Coffee?
Tone House Coffee is a new specialty coffee shop opening in Rocky River, Ohio. We're hiring part-time cashiers who are friendly, reliable, and ready to be the first face our customers see.
This role is all about creating a great first impression. You'll greet customers, take orders, handle payments, and help keep the front of house running smoothly. We'll train you on everything you need to know.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately
- Process payments through the POS system (cash, card, mobile)
- Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations
- Keep the counter, lobby, and retail area clean and organized
- Assist with restocking, light prep, and general upkeep as needed
What We're Looking For
- Friendly and outgoing, someone who makes people feel welcome
- Reliable and on time, every shift
- Comfortable handling cash and learning a new POS system
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Must be at least 16 years old
Details
- Position: Part-Time Cashier
- Hours: ~18-26 hours/week, flexible scheduling (midday/afternoon shifts, some weekends)
- Pay: $14/hour tips
