Core Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload across; keep files organized, calendars current, and deadlines on track.
- Prepare forms, evidence packets, and attorney-ready drafts; file electronically or by mail; monitor USCIS case statuses and follow up.
- Communicate with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders with clarity, empathy, and urgency; deliver timely updates and proactive issue-spotting.
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity; use MyCase and Docketwise to track tasks and progress.
- Prepare I‑130, I‑485, I‑765, I‑864 and supporting affidavits; draft U/T/VAWA filings and parole requests.
- Draft client declarations and country-conditions summaries; gather, organize, and analyze evidence (relationship, abuse, hardship).
- Translate documents EN↔ES and conduct targeted legal research and memos for case strategy.
- Handle employment-based matters (as applicable to experience), including EB1A, NIW, E1/E2, H1B, PERM, O1, L1A/L1B, TN, R.
- Draft/prepare petitions and exhibits (letters, expert evaluations, wage/role docs) with meticulous attention to detail; monitor RFE deadlines.
- Research regulations and policy guidance; identify risks and alternative pathways early and propose solutions.
- 2 years as an immigration paralegal with hands-on experience in humanitarian/family and
- 3 years as an immigration paralegal with hands-on experience in business immigration in a law firm setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent written/oral communication in both.
- Mastery of immigration forms, evidence standards, and filing practices; strong organization and deadline discipline across multiple matters.
- Ability to intuitively assess case-specific needs and synthesize complex information into compelling evidentiary packages; proven track record of organizing, coordinating, and managing deadlines across diverse caseloads.
- Ability to work independently in tasks and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MyCase or similar CRMs, and Docketwise;
- Pay:$25-$35/hour (DOE) discretionary bonuses.
- Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, standard 8‑hour shift (PST). In‑office work is required for the first 90 days, with a hybrid option considered afterward.
