Your craft, our mission

Imagine starting your shift in a spotless, well-lit shop built around state-of-the-art equipment. You review the traveler in the ERP, verify material traceability, set up a Citizen Swiss lathe, dial in offsets, and cut first-article parts. At the CMM and vision systems, you confirm critical dimensions, document results to ISO 13485 standards, and release the job to steady production. That’s a typical scene at TOMZ Corporation—an FDA-registered Class II/III Medical Device Manufacturer and ISO 13485-certified organization serving top medical device brands. We offer competitive compensation, 401(k), health/dental, vision, and paid time off.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Own setups and production on Citizen/Tsugami Swiss lathes, Index multi-spindle lathes, Robo Drills, mill-turn, and horizontal/vertical mills (3-4-5 axis).
  • Apply precise offsets and perform rapid tool changes to keep throughput high with minimal supervision.
  • Launch legacy and new jobs, stabilizing processes for repeatable output.
  • Verify parts using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, pin/thread gauges, comparators, Micro-Hite, CMM, and vision inspection equipment.
  • Capture and maintain quality records and ISO 13485 documentation.
  • Execute scheduled and regular preventive maintenance.
  • Lead or participate in root-cause problem-solving for complex machining and process issues.
  • Control identification and traceability of conforming and nonconforming materials.
  • Champion GDP/GMP and continuous improvement practices.
  • Use ERP and QMS to document inspections and manage traceability.
  • Work safely, following PPE guidance and occupational safety/health requirements.
  • Comply with the TOMZ Quality Management System; perform other duties as assigned.
Collaboration and reporting

You will report to the Operations Supervisor and work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA to hit quality and delivery targets.

What you’ll bring
  • Experience in Class I, II, and/or III medical device manufacturing within a regulated environment; comfortable with calibrated equipment and hazardous materials.

  • Detail-driven, organized, and quick to identify nonconformances.
Education & experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing/Engineering discipline preferred).

  • 2–5 years in a regulated manufacturing setting.
Physical capabilities
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs (team lift or mechanical assist required over 50 lbs).
  • Perform repetitive hand/arm motions and lift up to 20 lbs; grip, twist, and place components for extended periods, including overhead.
  • 20/20 vision (assisted or unassisted) for sorting raw and nonconforming materials; fine dexterity for small-to-medium parts.
  • Comfort working around oil, grease, noise, cleaning solvents, dust, metal particles, sparks, coolant, and sharp edges; PPE (safety glasses, dust masks, ear plugs, cut- or chemical-resistant gloves) and engineering controls may be required.
  • Comfortable sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
