Overview
The Senior Network Security Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining a high level of business security and data infrastructure protection. The Senior Network Security Operations Engineer must possess the ability to apply basic monitoring and troubleshooting concepts and critical thinking skills to understand the objectives of maintaining secure systems and audit compliance. Will be expected to lead Information Security projects to design, implement, and administer Information Security systems. Ensure consistency across the Company for all assignments. Position may require travel of up to one week at a time.

Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between Network Support and Audit and Compliance teams
- Proactively implement, update, maintain, manage, monitor, and support enterprise network and systems security operations infrastructure throughout the shared services environment.
- Lead change control and device configuration management activities.
- Provide periodic management reporting of firewall and Intrusion Protection System (IPS) activity.
- Lead security incident response team activities including implementation of tactical risk mitigation measures.
- Work with other security team members to review security architecture and design documents to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with the articulated security posture and industry requirements.
- Lead vulnerability and threat management monitoring and mitigation response activities.
- Coordinate vulnerability management activities with other Information Technology departments.
- Coordinate the review, development, testing and implementation of security plans and control practices.
- Perform analysis of security products, tools and services.
- Write technical standards, procedures, process documentation, and support documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
- Act in a leading role in the execution of Information Security projects and initiatives.
- Lead general security operations planning.
- Evaluate, recommends and deploys corporate wide security solutions.
- Lead Information Security event responses.
- All other duties as assigned.
- An Associate’s Degree in Information Systems, Data Security, or related field normally required, or equivalent training.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience preferred.
- Advanced administration of Data Security technology and managing multiple projects experience preferred.
- Proficient interpersonal, communicative, and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of audit concepts and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
