What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Technician - Technology Services position at Tomball ISD?
Primary Purpose
Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment, network, and software applications throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
Associate's degree in a technology-related field preferred APlus Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, troubleshooting, and repair Knowledge of DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and Windows NT Basic
Knowledge of network operating systems
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Assist, diagnose, and resolve any problems relating to the networking of technology equipment
Perform network installations and relocations as needed
Perform installation and repairs as scheduled by the Help Desk
Assist in the maintenance of the district technology inventory
Keep detailed technical support records
Assist in maintaining accurate Help Desk records
Perform detailed phone support as needed
Assist in maintaining the technology warehouse
Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Service Supervisor or Executive Director of Technology
